Mistral AI raised $415 million and dropped a new AI model, “Mixtral 8x7B.”. The model beats OpenAI GPT-3.5 and Meta’s Llama-2.

OpenAI, in collaboration with Eric Schmidt, has initiated the "Superalignment Fast Grants," a $10 million grant program to ensure the safety and alignment of future superhuman AI systems.

Superalignment in the context of advanced AI systems refers to the process of ensuring that these AI systems behave in ways that are completely in line with human values and goals. Think of it as a way to keep these advanced AI systems on the same page as us, prioritizing our safety and interests even as they become more capable.

This program is a proactive step toward managing AI's potential and risks.

• Broad-Scope Funding: Offering $100,000 to $2 million grants for academic labs, nonprofits, and individual researchers.
